Remembering a happy summer – 2022

We had some great campouts that kicked off on July 4, 2022. Scroll through below to see what you missed.
A lot of love and work has gone into the land and womyn have donated from the wishlist! Thank you so much for all this abundance.
A few outdoor projects were done including the never-ending blackberry, tansy and scotch broom removal. Oma was cleaned and organized as well.
Our September work party and Equinox ceremony were attended by 18 womyn the weekend of September 17 and 18. Everyone was happy to be together.
If you didn’t make it to a work party or campout, you are welcome to come up and visit at other times.
Please email [email protected]to let us know when you can visit for a day or overnight.
Our land liaison, Nicole, will get back to you. It’s still perfect camping weather!

It was a busy and beautiful Summer. We had a lot of projects happening on the land while everything was blooming and green.

The 4th of July Interdependence day campout was incredibly sweet and healing.

The next event was the Lammas Ceremony on Saturday 7/30 followed by a work party on Sunday 7/31.

Hosted by SisterSpirit, this campout included workshops during the day and a Lammas ritual for women’s empowerment on the evening of Saturday July 30th. Songs and musical instruments filled the air for our song circle!

The work party on Sunday, July 31st was focused on Chez Lore being demolished, to make room for useable space.
In response to requests, a wishlist of We’Moon needs was created, available for viewing and download here.
Please email with any questions, especially regarding the bigger items.
Donations are always welcome for the maintenance and upkeep of the land in many ways.

August We’Moon campout was held from Friday August 5th to Sunday August 7th.
We created an activity schedule based on the skills or activities womyn attending wanted to offer.
Activities suggested were: singing circle, camp fire – might be a flashlight fire circle, butch circle, creek swim, crafting area, 12 step group, yoga stretching, primal scream, laughter yoga, discussions, ritual, star gazing, games. Music was encouraged…guitar and drum. We also had massage available for a fee.
There was a potluck on Friday evening but other meals were not provided.
There was an outdoor kitchen, prep and wash up areas, with fridge space available as well.
Vehicle camping was available for small RVs in the lower parking lot.
Dogs with good social skills were permitted, with leash, kennel, and responsible pet waste disposal.
To keep the good energy going we added a work party for Saturday August 27.

We’Moon News

Hello Dear Ones!

We had a beautiful weekend at We’Moon homestead. On the new moon eclipse we had a work party and a Beltane ritual, which was very sweet and nurturing. We are now ramping up for the next work party!
Help us demolish an old trailer to make room for more womyn to enjoy womyns land! Join us Saturday, May 14 from 10-4 for a work party. We will provide snacks and a meal. We also need help with clearing blackberries and scotch broom. No experience required. We will provide the tools. But please bring your skills, gloves, equipment and water bottle if you have them! Some lighter indoor tasks, like spring cleaning Oma, are on the table as well.

Overnight camping or cabin stays are free for womyn who help out during the work party. Or you can donate $25-50 nightly for a cabin vacation or $15-25 for camping if you’d prefer to just hang out on the Land. No womyn turned away for lack of funds. If you are curious about womyns land, this is a great chance to see what it’s all about. If you love We’Moon and haven’t visited in a while, we’d love to see you again! Contact Nicole at [email protected] for details and to RSVP. We really want to get a count on how many womyn are coming for meal planning and more.

We’Moon Land first newsletter of the year!

Hi Womyn,

We are starting to come out of our winter hibernation and covid shells. The long cold nights are shifting to longer days and warmer times. There has been so much change and transitions in all our lives in the last few years. We wanted to give an update about We’Moon homestead and what we are planning for the spring and summer seasons. Covid has had a big impact on the finances and activities on the land, and the resident community is shifting in many ways as we move forward. We are welcoming womyn in many different ways to participate in this process as we move toward collective ownership. From volunteering for a day, to becoming an ongoing resident of the land and community.

Covid policies are being reviewed on a monthly basis to keep the community and any visitors as safe and healthy as possible. If you are interested in visiting the land, please contact us and we can go over the most up to date protocols we are using.

At this time we have limited indoor stays in Yula and LaFern. We will be opening up to camping once the weather shifts.

With inflation rising and changes in the world happening, we are increasing our sliding scale or overnight stays and use of Oma starting March 1st.

Suggested sliding scale: more if you can, less if you can’t.
Camping $15-25
Indoor cabins when available $25-50
Our rates are still much lower in comparison to many locations and hope to allow any womyn who wants to visit a chance to stay.

We are hoping to start planning work parties as soon as the weather is clear enough to plan ahead. We rely on your volunteering and donations.

We are collecting information around who might want to volunteer and what skills sets we are needing on the land. Some of the work we need help with are listed below:

Gardening/permaculture/groundskeeping
Carpentry
Maintenance
Skilled chainsaw/arborist
Electrician
Fundraising
Plumbing indoor and outdoor
Basic helpers

You could also become a We’Moon Land Work Crew member: by planning to come for scheduled Work Days on the land, or by volunteering for certain work projects.

If you are interested in working on the land in any capacity please email with your name, availability, interest and skill set. Nicole will be compiling a reference list for the homestead.

Projects for 2022 are reroofing LaFern cabin (we have the contractors but not the funds), staining Oma and other repairs (we have the funds but not the contractors), graveling the driveway, water line repairs, pruning and much more.

We couldn’t begin to do these needed projects without your help. Please give generously.

Thank you!
